Sparklit Motors was established in 1964 under the dynamic leadership of the veteran entrepreneur Mr. Christopher Abeyratne with the vision to serve the nation in the field of light engineering. Sparklit started to specialize as hydraulic manufacturers, in fact the only company in Sri Lanka to manufacture hydraulic jacks and hoses. The company also started repairs in different types of fuel pumps and injectors, rental of heavy machinery and spare parts of earth moving machines. Due to a tremendous success achieved in the years 1980s.In 1986, Sparklit was incorporated as a limited liability company. In the early 2000s, Sparklit started their sister company named Sparklit hydraulics (Pvt) Ltd, to make the hydraulics engineering category their main domain and to expand their vast strength and technology in that field.
As the company expanded, they recruited German engineers to train the local engineers to German standards, which they gain vast knowledge by working with the German engineers, where they performed extremely complex engineering needs, utilization of state-of-the-art technologies and tools, continuous research and development, and excellence in customer service, today Sparklit has become one of the most sort after light and hydraulics engineers in the whole country. Sparklit became the official and only dealers of the world’s leading hose manufacturer of Italian hoses under the company Alfagomma hose, which includes oil/fuel hoses, high pressure hydraulic hoses, power steering hoses, stainless steel steam hoses, brake hoses, cement powder hoses etc. At the spare part division, Sparklit motors offered JCB spare parts and general vehicle spare parts. Sparklit motors also offers hydraulic seal & pistons, heavy duty jack cylinder, stainless steel hoses & fittings, hard chrome jack shafts, hydraulic pumps & control valves and hose fittings/unions. At the manufacturing departments, Sparklit offers high quality products to match international standards as they equipped with many German, Finland & British made superior power machinery for hydraulic component manufacturing such as lathe machines, hydraulic press machines, phase machines, high load drilling machines, milling machines, gas/tig welding, hose crimp machines and Hydraulic Nut removers. As of today Sparklit motors, hold to the key of experience in this hydraulic field in Sri Lanka due to their 55 years of experience in hydraulics domain.
